A nutrition product company known for its dedication to sustainability, conservation, and stories that promote the company’s underlying values, Gnarly Nutrition is expanding its community involvement by offering a chance of funding and support to running and cycling clubs through a new grant program. The Fuel for Life Grant can provide significant funding for an outdoor sports organization with goals that reach beyond average.

With $15,000 up for grabs, Gnarly Nutrition is looking for a club, group, or organization that is focused on creating positive change in their local community. Whether you have a well-established running group with a history of getting more people into running shoes and out on the road or trails or are just starting to grow an organization to promote the conservation of your favorite local outdoor recreation area, Gnarly Nutrition wants to hear about it.

Running groups can do more than just run.

Who Can Apply?

All types of running and cycling clubs, as well as other groups with a connection to the Gnarly Nutrition products, are invited to apply. Whether you’re a nonprofit group, an established business, a local running group, or someone starting up a new initiative, you could be eligible to apply for the grant.

If your athletic organization has a project that you’ve been trying to get off the ground that could benefit your local area, the outdoor sports community, or an environmental organization, this is your chance. Recipients of the grant can use the money for an array of things, including traveling to events and paying registration fees, organizing and running their own event, paying for web development to grow their organization, and many other community-related activities to fuel a group’s mission.

Applicants must be based in the United States.

Choosing a Grant Recipient

Winners will be chosen through a series of steps, including public voting to narrow down the initial applicants to the top 100, and the final selection of the grant winner will be made by a panel consisting of Gnarly athletes and partners.

As applicants move through the selection process, they’ll become Gnarly Ambassadors. Then, they’ll be asked to perform a series of tasks ranging from organizing community events in their area to participating in self-organized trail cleanup days to volunteering at local events. They’ll document their activities on social media so that the public can follow along and learn about the grant applicants.

At the end of the selection process, the winning group will receive $12,000 to help fund their mission. They’ll also receive $500 in Gnarly Fuel2O, in addition to a variety of other Gnarly products.

A People’s Choice Award of $3,000 will also be given to the public’s favorite project or group.

The initial application window runs from June 15 through July 3, so start thinking about how your group could use the funds and apply now!
