Live Coverage of the 2013 Lake Sonoma 50 Mile

[Editor’s Note: We’ve now published our Lake Sonoma 50 results and wrap up article.]

This year’s Lake Sonoma 50 Mile will be even more competitive than last year’s race, and that’s hard to imagine. The race kicks off at 6:30 am Pacific Time in California’s wine country. We’ll be livecasting the event on iRunFar’s Twitter feed. We’ll also be combining our twitter feed with other possible news sources and encouraging all of you to join the discussion in the CoverItLive window below.

Here are a couple resources to help you follow the race:

Lol, I'm loving the Sage thumbnail that goes with this page. Way to pimp out (in a good way) the best looking runner at Sonoma.

Woah Daniel, thats a bold statement. Please send me your email address and I will send you some head shots. Then you can make the right decision.

What interests me the most is not so much who wins, but can anyone break Dakota's record of 6:17:27 from last year? That just seems otherworldly fast. For comparison, the Dick Collins Firetrails 50 here in the East Bay has a CR of 6:19 set by Dave Mackey in 2010, and from what I hear (having not run LS50 before, but having run Firetrails), DCFT50 is a much easier course. Dakota's time last year was almost 20 min faster than second-place Tim Olson.

Bryon, thanks for all your coverage! Hope to get a chance to say hi to you tomorrow — and please pass on my huge congrats to Meghan!!

I am in Bend, getting ready for Peterson Ridge Rumble 40 miler and wishing so badly to be there following this epic field at Lake Sonoma. Thank you Brian and irunfar staff who make this possible. This kind of coverage really makes a difference and inspires me for my race tomorrow. Easy on the Racer5!
