Some things concern me about this. Please correct me if I’ve misunderstood anything.
    1) An event (or the title sponsor of an event) paying the expenses of journalists covering the event is a conflict of interest. I thought the idea of supporting you through Patreon was that you would stay independent on not need to do things like this.

    2) Given the financial difficulties irunfar has documented over the past few months, is covering a race in Hong Kong that most of your primary audience (Americans) have never heard of a responsible use of your limited funds? I would guess you could cover multiple domestic races for the same cost. If Vibram is giving you a full ride, then see (1).

Based on other comments you’ve made, I’d suggest supporting iRunFar if you believe in what we’re doing, and not to do so if it is not. As we previously suggested, we’re not going to give a full accounting of every race we cover and every trip we take.

Great coverage Bryan. I don’t see the need for IRF to disclose all of its business dealings to the public, and it’s enjoyable to “see” races in parts of the world most of us will likely never see in person. Thank you!

    Dear IRunFar (Bryon and Megan),

Thank you so much for providing such a wonderful coverage of races from around the world. You are the ‘go to’ people when it comes to ultra trail running. I just wanted to mention that you have fans and audience like me who are non-Americans. I enjoy the American MUT scene. Its also nice to know more about all these other races and runners.

    Thank you very much
