June 22, 2011 by Bryon Powell · 9 Comments

[With this year's race in the history books, we've posted a similar collection of post-race 2011 Western States 100 stories.]

While we think we’ve pulled together some great pre-Western States content (see the righthand sidebar) and Western States 100 logowill be interviewing numerous runners over the next few days, many others have written worthwhile stories about the race or interviewed top contenders. Below, we share some of these with you and we encourage you to let iRunFar readers know of additional pre-race stories in the comments. We’ll be updating this article as we learn of other resources.

Before we get started, we’d like to remind you that if you don’t want to miss any of our Western States coverage, you can subscribe via RSS or via email.

Also, if you want to follow along on race day, we’ll be tweeting live from the course all day, so be sure to follow iRunFar on Twitter.

I think AJW’s whole life becomes WS centric this time of year, not just his blog.

Oops… Sorry, Sarah, I’d meant to include your interviews. That’s what happens when I write late at night. I’ve added those links.

    Hey Bryon,
I also got some of big Mackey’s thoughts (and Karl Meltzer, for that matter).
