The La Sportiva Prodigio Pro is a responsive, nimble shoe that offers a substantial amount of protection. The shoes have a knitted upper with Power Wire technology for a locked-in fit and a durable build. Our testers particularly love the outsole for its sticky FriXion rubber and the layout of its 4-millimeter lugs. This is La Sportiva’s take on a supershoe, and it performs. The shoe has a stack height of 34 millimeters at the heel and 28 millimeters at the toe for a 6-millimeter drop. The mix of cushion and nimble ride helped make it the second-most-worn shoe at the 2025 Hardrock 100. La Sportiva Prodigio Max — Men’s & Women’s (25% Off)
When cushioning and a roomier fit outweigh the need for speed or ultra-precise footing, the La Sportiva Prodigio Max offers comfort and protection. These shoes have a wider toebox and less technical fit than the Prodigio Pro, making the Max a good choice for everyday trail running efforts, especially on rocky terrain.
The max cushion is created with a 37-millimeter stack height under the heel, and 31 millimeters under the toe for a 6-millimeter drop.
