Patagonia Men’s Sender Boxer Briefs – 6” General Features

The Patagonia Men’s Sender Boxer Briefs – 6” may not be colorful or flashy, but they get the job done. The six-inch version is available in gray, black, and navy, each with thin color stripes on the waistband. We found that the performance and quality make up for the lack of any splashy colors.

They are extremely lightweight and are easy to move in. Patagonia is known for manufacturing their products to very high standards, and these boxer briefs are no exception. They perform well in moderate and hot temperatures. And perhaps most important, we experienced no chafing, even during long, hot summer adventure runs.

Patagonia Men’s Sender Boxer Briefs – 6” Details

The Patagonia Sender Boxer Briefs – 6” are made from 89% recycled nylon and 11% spandex mesh, and they have flatlock seams. This combination of the material and low-profile seams works to prevent friction and chafing. While some men might prefer running underwear with a fly, we did not see that as an issue with these, which have a contoured pouch instead.

Patagonia uses miDori bioSoft fabric technology to increase the wicking ability and softness of these underwear. HeiQ Pure, a silver- and salt-based additive that helps prevent the growth of odor-causing microbes, is used to reduce smells in the fabric. We can vouch for the odor protection as we celebrated after long weekend runs.

Oftentimes, running underwear can bunch up underneath the shorts, making for an uncomfortable or downright unpleasant running experience. This is not an issue with these boxer briefs, as the ergonomic patterning and leg design ensure that the undies stay in place and won’t ride up or constrict you.
