This race and the coverage was insane, thanks therefore.
Question: How can it be, that this insane runner called Jim Walmsley, I never saw such a more inspiring run, has no maine Sponsor ?
Are companies like Salomon, North face, nike, asics blind ?
This guy is going to be the reference in trail running in the future, he is defining new Levels.

Obviously the author is dealing with some issues of his own, but you gotta admit… it’s not like Anton Krupicka or Dakota Jones have been trying to heal up so they could get into Western States. Will be interesting to watch the future of the race.

The sport is getting bigger. More runners, more races, more variety in both. It’s not surprising that a good number of top runners end up caring more about other races or at least want to experience other races that offer a different type of terrain, different history and experience, cash or whatever. That’s great, but that doesn’t mean that WS is any less of a draw for talent, any less competitive, or any less interesting for fans wanting to see a good race.

    Hi Bryan,
interesting article. But nevertheless, the performance of Jim, even only for 90 miles is mind blowing, beyond imagination, a performance where you can dream from. Guys like Kilian or Scott could have write such an article, but you ?
I say chapeau Jim, this run wasn`t the last. You will be the future, because you can run, not only write :)

Hey Paul… I was a volunteer at Duncan Canyon doing photos… I got some good photos of you at the aid station and the finish line (before the chute)… the link is in the next comment down if you want to check them out. I’m happy to provide digital files if you want to add them to your blog post (or just have them).

Thank you and thanks for the photos, Tonya! I’d love to ad them to my blog and will definitely give photo credit and link to your site. :)
