Sometime while we were jetting around the Northern Hemisphere in late August, we hit a milestone: our one millionth pageview. Quite frankly, we’re still dumbfounded. It took iRunFar (as it exists now) an entire year to hit 100,000 pageviews. We now hit that in about a month. Crazy.
Anyway, we want to thank all of you! How are we going to do it? With our biggest giveaway to date. In fact, it’s so big that we’ll need to kick off a new contest every day this week. We’ve got two large boxes and a couple shelves full of new and lightly-used gear to send your way. Plus, we’ve got huge giveaways from The North Face and New Balance. Here’s how this week will play out on iRunFar.
- Monday – The North Face Endurance Challenge Championships Contest – Win a TNF EC entry, a full Better Than Naked outfit, and a pair of Single-Tracks.
- Tuesday – Chilly Weather, Hot Contest – Win fall and winter running apparel.
- Wednesday – Cloud (Size) 9 Shoe Giveaway – An array of men’s 9-9.5 trail shoes up for grabs.
- Thursday – Moving (From) the Motherload Giveaway – We’re getting rid of everything else we’ve got!
- Friday – New Balance MT101/WT101 Contest – Win 1 of 5 pairs of New Balance MT101s or WT101s!

I follow a lot of running websites Bryon, but yours is the only one I use as a news source and read daily. It's amazing how far your site has come since it's early blog days. Cheers.
wow, a million pageviews is amazing, congrats on the milestone and thanks for all that you do for ultras and trail running.
Agreed, great site, probably the most useful one I read. Thanks. Hope I can send some traffic your way – http://bit.ly/d5TJfw
Wow Bryon, that's incredible! Yep, I subscribe all three ways listed above. Keep up the great work for our ultrarunning community.
iRunfar is consistently the best resource for trail/ultra running on the web. Best race coverage by far, and equipment reviews that are truly informative.
I remember when I first started reading iRUNFAR. I just found you by chance. It was to be my lucky day and good fortune. Thanks for a great running site and wonderful info.
Woohoo for 1,000,000 views!!! Congratulations!
congrats!!!! here's to a million more
congrats on this! very much deserved. here's to the next million!
Not surprised considering how good the site is and with your full time focus the site has really gone to the next level.
Congrats and I look forward to returning another million times
Congrats Bryon!
Many were discussing your site after Blues Cruise yesterday.
Great work
Mike
Thanks, Mike. I hope the discussions were positive! ;-)
A well deserved milestone. Now it's time to open up some forums for your readers to connect and for your advertisers to target their content. Keep up the great work – here's to the next million!!

Thanks, Matt. I've long debated about forums… and went so far as to flesh one out a few months ago. [Removed link to no-longer-existent forum.]
I've yet to launch it, as I've not found the time to integrate the iRunFar look. Let me know if you have any specific suggestions on them.
Ps. iRunFar doesn't have any advertisers… yet. That will happen soon enough.
There are several of us at RWOL forums that would likely haunt iRunFar forums if you ever roll it out. We are a frisky and fun bunch, just a little heads up for you…
Congratulations Bryon!! I tell evrybody i can about the site and your services. Keep up the great work. looking forward to stories on how your training is going.
Adam Fitzgerald
Thanks, Adam. I'm not sure you want stories about my training these days… not all that inspiring. Of course, I guess realism is good, too. I just struggled through a 10 miler. Two and a half miles in I had serious anxiety about even trying to run the full 10. It ain't pretty at the moment.
Awesome! Congrats on a cool mill!
Hey Bryon – the beta-forums that you set up look great! As long as they have the ability to embed pictures (and emoticons ;)) etc I think that they're good to go.
Like megatomic says, a lot of us who are on the RWOL trail and ultra forums would be instant customers if you set these up.
With your great content and growing readership, advertisers will be lining up…
congrats!
Just want to say thank you for your site, Am fairly new to the sport and looking forward to my first Marathon in Philadelphia this November. Congratulations on One Million!!!!!!!!Must be proud. Again, thanks..
I love iRunFar. My bumper sticker is such a conversation starter at races. Congrats on the Million views!!!!
I am just happy that the resources of iRUNFAR are available to me.

I also subscribe via email. Thanks again!
Been enjoying irunfar for some time now and have benefitted from Bryon's largess in the past. Most recently represented irunfar.com at the Mystery Mountain Marathon, a great G.U.T.S. race in N. Georgia. Hoping that some day our paths might cross. Keep up the excellent work!
I just wore my new iRunFar tech shirt in the Mountain Madness 50k (New Jersey Trail Series). A lot of people commented on how much they like your site. Great job!
Love the giveaway. And irunfar as always.
Thanks, Run10FF, but you're about 16.8 million pageviews too late for this contest!
