The Hoka One One Kailua Trail is a women's trail running shoe that's lower to the ground and more flexible than previous Hoka models. It's also Hoka's lightest trail running shoe to date.
For those who found the Stinson, Bondi B, or Mafate to be just a little too much ... or who've wanted to try Hoka, but didn't want to take the leap full-cushion Hoka's, this might just be the shoe for you. Hoka US brought in the Kailua before the men's version, the Rapa Nui, specifically because the increased flexibility would particularly benefit women.
Ps. Men, the Kailua Trail is the women's version of the men's Rapa Nui, which is not yet available in the US, but is receiving rave reviews. You shouldn't have any trouble slipping into a women's version that's a full size larger than your men's size.
The Kailua Trail features an oversized Hoka One One proprietary (HIR) IMEVA midsole providing lightweight cushioning, lower heel drop offset, and a responsive ride. A balanced stage Meta-Rocker is designed to help increase economy of running performance and an accurate foot roll through the gait cycle. A highly breathable upper construction provides a secure fit. The ideal shoe for runners looking for a lightweight, responsive, and performance cushion running shoe with a faster ride.
