Adam Campbell 2012 Chuckanut 50k Champ Interview

Adam Campbell’s had a string of impressive ultra performances over the past year, but he’d yet to have a victory in a big time race. That changed when he moved from 9 minutes back of the leaders (and 7 minutes back of folks who didn’t go off course) with 11 miles to go to take the lead in the final two miles. In the following interview he talks about his exciting race; what it feels like to win such an important race; taking his lumps on the trail; his upcoming schedule that includes Ultra Trail Mount Fuji (his first 100), the Speedgoat 50k, Sierra Zinal, and Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc; and his transition to being a professional runner.

"We're lucky to do what we do." Absolutely true. What a great and gracious attitude. Thanks for another excellent post-race interview Bryon. And best of luck in the upcoming races, Adam.

Another fine IRunFar interview. Adam Campbell… a stout effort from a true North West rain runner. The winner complete with new trail warrior tat's from Chuckanut 2012. Awesome race report. Adam is a great writer, we look forward to further adventures and trail tales from this talented writer/mountain runner!

Thanks everyone. Eric luck is always appreciated. Brian, it's a great part of the country to run in and a fun race, you really should consider it. Jamey, thanks, I definitely feel at home on Bellingham's trail and it was only fair that I sacrifice some skin to the trails that give me so much. Thanks for the kind words about my writing too, I appreciate it.

    Happy trails,

    Adam
