Adam Campbell’s had a string of impressive ultra performances over the past year, but he’d yet to have a victory in a big time race. That changed when he moved from 9 minutes back of the leaders (and 7 minutes back of folks who didn’t go off course) with 11 miles to go to take the lead in the final two miles. In the following interview he talks about his exciting race; what it feels like to win such an important race; taking his lumps on the trail; his upcoming schedule that includes Ultra Trail Mount Fuji (his first 100), the Speedgoat 50k, Sierra Zinal, and Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc; and his transition to being a professional runner.
