Geoff Roes Pre-2010 UTMB Interview

iRunFar interviews Geoff Roes, the 2010 Western States 100 champ, before the 2010 UTMB.

We caught up with Geoff Roes, the Western States 100 record holder, the day before the 2010 Ultra-Trail du Mont Blanc. During the interview, Roes talks about his training since Western States, breaking his own record at the Crow Pass race in Alaska, the talent of Kilian Jornet, other UTMB competitors, his plan to have no plan on race day, and his hope for rain during this year’s UTMB.

We apologize in advance for the background noise during the interview. The location is one of the quietest in the vicinity and worked well for other interviews. However, noisy tourists sat down just after we started filming. In the end, we are publishing this interview based on the fact we think something is better than nothing.
