As a member of the WVMT I would have to heartily endorse Bradley as fighting it out with Meltzer. Mongold paced Adam last year for his debut 3rd place finish, so Mongold knows what he is in for, and he is bat-shit crazy too.

Anyone who classifies as “bat-shit crazy” gets my vote. I need to throw that in conversations more often. Karl is my hometown guy though and seems pretty focused but I also saw Nick blow people up at Antelope 50 this year. Whoever it is will more than earn it. Good luck to you all…. guess I will stay on the fence. Oh hell nevermind- I’m going with Karl.

I agree but feel Nick’s suited to the heat and the course. If he can manage to control his pace for 12 hours, I think he’s “capable” of racing up front. Have you ever looked at some of his accomplishments as an endurance mtn biker? Strong and tough young guy.

Deep down, I see Mongold and Meltzer near one another 1,2 towards the end with Bradley gutting out the last of his impressive speed for a low 18 hr win.

Tim – your loyalty and belief is commendable, but I can’t see Nick doing any better than third. Hope he proves me wrong – he’s the great CO hope out East this weekend.

Not exactly breaking new ground here, but looks to me like it’s Meltzer’s race to lose.
