Dream of the Moment – A Trans-Eire Run

About half an hour ago, I was looking at Klas Eklof’s pictures of Hardrock and dreaming of running Hardrock next year. Oh, but how fickle a man’s mind. Right now, I am dreaming of a trans-Ireland crossing next year. I don’t know how far it is, but a run from Galway Bay to Dublin Bay seems doable. Heck, why not? Plus, this will be a good stepping stone for my run across Mongolia. Just remember to keep the can of Guinness at least 10 feet in front of me at all time to make sure I keep running.

Somehow I didn't think that I'd have too much problem finding a crew. ;-) Now I just need to work on my official beer sponsor. Guinness for Strength (and Endurance)!

Right on, Crash. Even if I replenish with beer, I'll still want more so the carrot… err, beer method will still work. I noticed you live on Oahu. I was just there to pace at the HURT 100 – it's quite the island paradise. I hope to be back at HURT in some capacity next year.

Crash, I paced Steve Burton from mile 60 to 100. He almost dropped when we got lost within 3 miles of my starting to run with him. Although that took the air out of his sails for the rest of the race and he finished. I ended up being out there for 15 hours. That was a long night on the trails. You paced quite the celebrity. All the ladies I was hanging out with while crewing prior to pacing were swooning over David, a.k.a. Trail Brad Pitt or Sexual Chocolate… along with some others.
